i both love and hate this band. i like the harmonies and light sound they have to offer. but i'm sorta tired of the whole 'british vocalists with some guitar effects/synth' thing. i.e. the killers, the shins, the unicorns. i love their stuff, don't get me wrong. i just want something new. something thats unrefined and in your face. maybe something like rancid, but a lot more sophisticated. like rancid mixed with broken social scene. i missed minus the bear and snow patrol. but i don't mind missing snow patrol. songs for polar bears was waaaaaaaaaay better than this recent one. but hey, kudos to them for finally getting some international attention.

school is nearly over. i have technically 3 finals. but my speech final should be a breeze. i have my management exam a week from tomorrow and my accounting exam a week from wednesday. we'll see how those turn out. hopefully they come out good *crosses fingers and toes*

i definitely just took the album i was talking about and put it away. time for something new. so i'll change what i'm listening to.

portuguese acoustic stuff. not bad not bad. not to mention that this movie is freaking hilarious. speaking of movies and music, i recently bought incubus alive at red rocks. very good concert in an amazing venue. i plan on road tripping there at some point in the near future. i also bought jimi hendrix live at the isle of wight. this was a massive concert. woodstock was around 300,000 people...double that. 600,000 people at this music festival. the line up was amazing, the who, the doors, jimi hendrix, moody blues, kris kristofferson, and miles davis to name a few. and i was born in the wrong decade.

which brings up another topic. i plan on getting a record player after this summer. hopefully, i'll have enough money to buy a decent, vintage turntable and blow a lot of money on vinyls. boston's self titled being at the top of the list.

exams this week went fine. i partied a bit friday night. there was a keg party at meg's. and then i just went up and down her street with some friends stumbling upon a huge party with 5 kegs and one with two i think. i ended up back at cramer's and sorta watched a power hour.

i went to a lecture monday night on the current music business. a former town haller came in to talk about her job at capital records. it was interesting to hear her take on a&r and promo stuff. job security seemed a bit shaky tho. we'll see if thats what is in store for me tho!

i want summer vacation...but i don't really want to leave here :-/
