I showed my management exam who was boss. That was a good feeling.
Lets see...went out with a few friends thursday night. We did nothing but cause trouble and end up at a party at meg's. That was a lot of fun. Plus, her house is entirely vintage. What a cool house.
Friday, we headed out to Austin. Friday night was interesting. Swish and I ended up staying at this dude Jason's house. His house is exactly like the penthouse except, in my opinion, has less freaking awesome stuff. Plus, Jason has cats. But anyways...it was your typical college guy party house. A few of us were outside braving the cold partaking and having great conversation. We were rudely interrupted. We heard this loud boom and screech and crumble. Of course, we made sarcastic comments about horrible parallel parkers and the like. Then, Kevin, Jason's roommate ran out back and said 'dudes, someone just ran into the house next door.' So, we decide to check it out. We get outside and crouch behind the truck in the driveway and see a relatively new Ford Taurus in the lawn. The driver attempted to start it...the engine turns over but doesn't start. The driver tries again and is successful. To his dismay, the engine made a really loud clanking noise, but he was able to shift gears. He didn't get anywhere though. Upon realizing that he couldn't start the car, the driver gets out, looks around, and starts running. Swish and Kevin jump in his truck and start following him while calling the cops. The cops make it to the house within 4 minutes and investigate the scene. They leave and come back with someone in the back seat. At this point, we are asked to identify the gentleman and give the officers our ID/information. The guy had a cell phone, a wallet, and a bag of something on his person. It was funny watching him take the sobriety test. A neighbor said he had to have been going 65-70 miles an hour. But anyways, it was sort of a once in a lifetime experience to walk out of a house and see this next door:

the car was actually up on the brick porch before. so, it looked like it had crashed through.
the next day, we went to zilker park and had an awesome time. that place is gorgeous. i'm definitely going back there soon.
this week i have one exam. it will be another simple anthropology exam. i get to read about pygmys. woohoo!
