Some guy convinced me to buy his album in NYC. It's pretty all right. I'm quite certain he was looking for weed money, though. Maybe he'll tithe.

Mission trip in Saltillo, Mexico was quite great. We spent a few days washing and painting plaster walls. I also got the opportunity to pull electrical wire through conduit so that they could put new light fixtures in the church. Their culture is amazing. I wish everyone from the United States could realize their priorities.

We got to go to a middle school fiesta. It was awesome watching the traditional Mexican dances and it felt odd as hundreds of brown eyes watched my every move. I got to dance a bit...and it was pretty awesome. We were treated to some rice and mole after the dance...that didn't agree with me too well. :-)

I was able to give my first sermon on Friday night. I did it on Hebrews 12:1-3. It was a relatively short message because we had just driven from Saltillo to Laredo and it was around 11:00pm. So, I basically talked about how Jesus runs the race of life with perfection and carries us on His back. He also shows us how to pull others on His back. Nothing distracts Him in His goal. He forgives us for lagging behind...and even for jumping on his back. I reinforced the fact that we need to maintain the attitude we have learned from the mission trip as we go back to our homes. Keep your mind focused on the One who has allowed you to live on this earth. It was relatively simple...it didn't go all that smoothly. I found myself searching for the right words. I wasn't fluid in my delivery. This usually isn't a problem for me when I'm giving speeches. I thought it would be easier to talk about something I am so passionate about...but it wasn't for some reason. I guess it's God telling me to avoid such assumptions.

I've gotten several job offers at this point and I've made a spreadsheet allowing me to compare and contrast the potential savings plans for each offer. I could end up doing quite well! I never thought I would have such great options in front of me. I guess God combined with the Aggie Network is truly that great!
