Yesterday I went to the Baylor vs. Texas A&M basketball game and I had such a weird feeling. It is quite possibly my last basketball game. We won, which was awesome...but it was a crazy feeling. The refs were terrible and Josh Lomers is a diiiiiiirty player. But we ended up with more points which is what matters in the end. I love how Scott Drew kept telling his players to foul even though they were down 10 points with 1:30 left on the clock. I also love how Billy Clyde Gillispie retaliated by calling 2 timeouts at the end on a ridiculous inbounds play. I really hope our team makes it far in the tournament!
Graduation is just around the corner and it's odd to think that I'm going to be leaving all the friends and family I have made here at Texas A&M. I really hope that I am leaving a lasting mark on this school and that students can continue to have the same experiences that I have had at such a special place. Lately I've been realizing how fortunate I am to be the 15th Aggie in my family to graduate. I've been very priviledged to come here and I hope that my children will consider going here as well.
It's not a beautiful campus, it's not a large party city, it's not the absolute best at academics, it's the people. You can always tell someone is an Aggie because they try their best to lead and improve and they approach most aspects of life with the attitude of a blue collar worker. You have to work hard and be an example for others to make it in this world. You have to do what you can to succeed while helping others along the way. The importance of helping others is something I have learned from this campus. I'm looking forward to going on mission trip for Spring Break this year. The Lutheran Student Fellowship has organized a trip where we can go help rebuild communities. We also have several outreach events planned to bring people from the community in to the church. I can't wait!
God's guidance is so awesome. I love when He gives you signs that are blatantly obvious. Lately, I have felt Him pulling me...very gently...to reconsider the pastoral ministry. It would be such an amazing experience. I could literally talk about God for a living. I could be paid to tell others about the inifite wisdom and will that He has. However, I often think, 'Adam, you could do those things while not being a pastor...use that education that God has blessed you with and make His ministry secondary to your career.' Maybe not exactly like that, but you get the idea. What if I made my career His career? Oh wait, it all ready is. We are here on earth to spread His love...not to make a few million dollars throughout my life time.
The decision seems really easy. I can't make up my mind though. What can I do? I can pray for guidance and live the college life while I can.
A New Day, A New Life
Each day I am showered in God's love.

I am a recent college graduate that is embarking upon the real world. Exemplifying God's love through my thoughts, words, and actions is my ultimate goal.
