Dramatic Silence
While walking onto center stage,
I approach with my head bowed,
I ignore the sneers from the crowd,
I consume the silence of musical age.

This empty theater, filled with silent verse
Is a critic of all that takes place.
My lyrics an unfortunate disgrace
If only there was time to rehearse.

And to you, the spectator, I sing these lies
This filth of irregularity
Simple couplets of disparity
I sing of neglecting fear, that never dies.

This song is over, my echo scattered
I didn’t give my heart or my soul
My talents used, not nearly the whole
I leave the stage, knowing nothing mattered.

This poem was written by me, Adam.
