Currently listening to:
Artist: Imogen Heap
Album: Speak For Yourself
Track: Hide and Seek

woah, frou frou is awesome. did i say frou frou? i meant imogen heap. screw that guy (that's a little more literal than presumed) from frou frou. this album is interesting. i like the electronic sound and i like the vocal dubbing on this track ('hide and seek'). the harmonic, vocal effects are amazing. her sound is still gentle and a touch driving. sometimes i feel like harmony can make music seem that much more fortified with emotion. i like it when vocal harmonies make the walls close in on you.

those exams went well (see previous post). i have one this week. econ 322. i will own this exam with brute force and a pretentious amount of guile and wit.

this weekend was amazing! it all began friday, as most weekends do. i had time to just relax in the afternoon after my classes. that evening i got a ride to campus and watched a few bands play with friends. i then went with jessica, andrew, and miles to miles' house. here we took it easy for a while and ate some food. miles and i went to a party for a little while...then we went to old vs. new. this is an msc town hall ritual of having a keg race...old members vs. new members. where the old always win. it was a great time! it always is. there were so many old faces and so many new ones as well. early in the morning, the cops came and shut down our revelry and i got a ride home with cristy and matt. dave and i then stayed up until 4 in the morning just having a one-sided drunken conversation. i woke up the next morning at 9 and headed to houston to visit my family. geez i've missed my parents. they are so awesome. they make me happy. they really do. after a short while with the folks , my girlfriend maria came over! it was nice being able to just sit with her and the fam and have a wonderful conversation. i really like that. after a while her and i went to the mall and bought some clothes and then came back home to enjoy an interesting meal prepared by my mom. it was some hungarian dish including sauer kraut that she stumbled upon. i voted that it should be a 'repeat'...but i was in the unfortunate minority. after dinner maria had to go to work. so, the fam and i watched the 'stros. geez that was a heart breaker. the game tonight was too! that was definitely a foul ball, silly ump. the only thing i have to say to white sox fans are that the cubs suck. cuz i know that would offend all of them more. but yeah after the game maria came over again! and her and i just sat upstairs and hung out for a while. she left when it got late and i had a wonderful night's rest. then this morning i had a huge breakfast and slept on the couch until 11 or so. we had a wonderful lunch and then i packed up and came back here! whew.....that was long! but yeah, it was an ultimately relaxing and fulfilling weekend.

anywho, this chap needs some rest. i have a long week of econ studying, bible study leading, concert ticket purchasing, advertisement designing, guitar playing, pun innovating, signing up for classes, grad school researching, and soccer playing.
